When I was quite little, I started to be very interested in Chinese ancient literature and crafts. The poetical Chinese characters and timeless craft pieces became the resources of my passion of design. Chinese ancient product design once reached the peak of craftsmanship in the world, there are countless examples of perfect combination between appearance and function. I believe that they will never be old-fashioned.

Tradition has to meet new needs, thus it will have new life. I came to Finland with this reason. The free and active atmosphere of design brought me new thoughts and inspirations, I found Scandinavian product design will be a great stage for Chinese craftsmanship to develop and enhance, also Chinese crafts tradition will enrich Scandinavian design. With this goal, I established Elinno Design company. Elinno Design will bring the best of Chinese craftsmanship to the top Scandinavian design, creating the most distinctive product designs.

Luckily, some talented Finnish designers understood my concept. Each of them has his or her own expertise and orientation of design, still all of them are top designers in Finland. All of them appreciate and understand Chinese craftsmanship, would like to bring it to Finnish design as a new element, also willing to help in developing Chinese traditional craftsmanship. Because of these common interests, we got together and builded this great design team.
